Michael Labs is committed to protecting your privacy. We built Voyage to help you travel beautifully — not to harvest your data. This policy explains clearly what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.

This Privacy Policy applies to the Voyage iOS application and any related services operated by Michael Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.

Information We Collect

Information You Provide

When you use Voyage, you may provide information directly:

  • Travel itineraries, trip names, and destination details you create within the app
  • Flight and hotel information you enter or import
  • Notes, preferences, and packing lists you create
  • Account information if you create a Michael Labs account

Information Collected Automatically

We collect limited technical information to keep the app running smoothly:

  • Crash reports and diagnostic logs (via Apple’s built-in crash reporting)
  • App performance metrics to identify and fix issues
  • Basic usage analytics (feature interactions, screen views — never tied to personal identity)

Information We Do Not Collect

We are intentional about what we do not collect:

  • Precise location data — Voyage does not track where you are
  • Contacts, photos, or files from your device (unless you explicitly import them)
  • Biometric data of any kind
  • Payment information (handled entirely by Apple)

How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To provide and improve Voyage’s features and functionality
  • To diagnose and fix bugs and performance issues
  • To understand how features are used and prioritize development
  • To communicate with you about support requests you initiate
  • To comply with legal obligations when required

We do not sell your data. We do not use your travel information for advertising. Your itineraries are yours.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share limited data in these narrow circumstances:

Service Providers

We work with a small number of trusted third-party services that help us operate:

  • Apple: In-app purchases, crash reporting, and TestFlight distribution
  • iCloud: Optional sync of your itineraries across your Apple devices

These providers are contractually bound to use your data only as needed to provide their services.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Data Storage & Security

Your travel data is stored primarily on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your personal iCloud account. Michael Labs does not operate central servers that store your itinerary content.

We use industry-standard security practices to protect any data that does pass through our infrastructure, including encryption in transit and at rest.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. While we take reasonable precautions, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your Rights & Choices

Access and Deletion

You can access, export, or delete all of your travel data directly within the Voyage app at any time. Deleting the app removes locally stored data from your device. For iCloud data, you can manage this through your iCloud settings.

Analytics Opt-Out

You can opt out of anonymous usage analytics in Voyage’s Settings › Privacy at any time.

California Residents (CCPA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at the address below.

European Residents (GDPR)

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have rights including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection. Our lawful basis for processing is primarily our legitimate interests in providing and improving our service. Contact us to exercise your rights.

Children’s Privacy

Voyage is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

Policy Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Your continued use of Voyage after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
